1994 BA Honours (Biological Sciences)
Oxford University
1997 Centra Certificate in Teaching English as a
Foreign Language
After graduating in 1994 I travelled extensively in Europe and Asia,
qualified as a teacher of English as a foreign language, and began
teaching English in Istanbul.
I have been based in Poznań, Poland, since 1998. I worked there as an
English
teacher for three years, teaching business and general English to the
employees of some of Poznań's leading firms. For the next three years I
worked as an editor and proofreader for Ernst and Young Poland and the
law firm Domański Zakrzewski Palinka.
Since 2005 I have been working as a freelance editor and translator
mainly of
medical and scientific articles, which are published regularly in many
leading journals. I have edited over a thousand articles for
publication in medical and scientific journals.
In 2007 I founded AngloPolonia, a network of Polish and English
freelance translators and proofreaders.
I personally
check all AngloPolonia translations into English in the fields of
medicine, biological sciences, law and tourism.
